Terms and Conditions
Last updated: August 15, 2026
These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern access to and use of The Sashiko Mastery website, products, downloads, memberships, and related services. By placing an order or using our services, you agree to these Terms and the policies linked at checkout. If you do not agree, do not use the services or complete a purchase.
1. Product Information and Formats
We offer digital products, physical products, bundles, memberships, subscriptions, and optional add-ons. The product page and checkout identify the format and included items. Images of fabric, tools, finished projects, or printed pages are examples only unless the description expressly states that those physical items are included.
Please review the product description and final order details before paying. We may correct genuine description, availability, or pricing errors. If a material error affects an accepted order, we will provide an appropriate remedy, which may include correction, cancellation, replacement, or refund.
2. Orders, Payments, and Optional Add-Ons
Orders and optional add-ons are submitted through the customer-facing checkout or offer page. Our customer-service team cannot access your PayPal account, approve a payment, or manually submit a checkout selection on your behalf.
Paid add-ons are optional and should display their product, format, and price before acceptance. Declining an add-on does not cancel the original purchase. By approving payment, you authorize the payment provider to charge the amount displayed for the selected transaction.
Review every confirmation and contact us promptly if it differs from what you intended. We may review order numbers, timestamps, checkout records, payment records, delivery logs, account activity, and communications when investigating a disputed or reportedly unauthorized transaction. A separate transaction record documents processing but does not prevent a good-faith investigation of customer consent.
We may reject or cancel an order for lawful reasons, including payment failure, unavailable products, pricing errors, suspected fraud, system misuse, or legal restrictions. Applicable taxes, shipping, duties, bank fees, or currency-conversion costs may apply.
3. Digital Products and License
Digital products may be delivered by email, download link, account, or another electronic method. If access fails, contact us so we can attempt to restore access or provide a working link.
Unless expressly stated otherwise, digital content is licensed to the purchaser for personal, non-commercial use only. You may download and print reasonable copies for your own use, but you may not resell, redistribute, upload, share access, reproduce for commercial use, remove ownership notices, or claim the content as your own.
Refund and cancellation rules for digital products are stated in our Refund Policy and remain subject to mandatory consumer law.
4. Physical Products and Shipping
Shipping estimates are not guaranteed unless expressly stated. Customers are responsible for providing a complete and accurate delivery address and for reviewing it before checkout. Risk of delay or loss is handled under applicable law and our Refund Policy.
Inspect physical products after delivery and report damaged, defective, incorrect, or incomplete orders within the period stated in our Refund Policy, with reasonable supporting information. Normal differences in fabric color, thread shade, texture, measurement, or appearance caused by screens, lighting, materials, or manufacturing are not necessarily defects.
5. Subscriptions, Memberships, and Communities
If a product renews automatically, the checkout should display the price, billing frequency, and cancellation terms. You authorize recurring charges until cancellation. Cancellation normally stops future renewals and does not create a refund for a period already started, except where required by law or stated in our Refund Policy.
Community members must communicate respectfully and must not post unlawful, abusive, infringing, deceptive, or harmful material. We may remove content or suspend access when reasonably necessary to protect customers, the community, our services, or legal rights.
6. Intellectual Property and Acceptable Use
The website, brand, designs, patterns, ebooks, videos, course materials, graphics, software, and other content are owned by or licensed to The Sashiko Mastery and are protected by intellectual-property laws. No ownership rights transfer through a purchase.
You must not misuse the website, interfere with its operation, attempt unauthorized access, use automated systems to copy content or create accounts, submit false information, commit fraud, infringe rights, bypass access controls, or use our content or services unlawfully.
7. Third-Party Services and Availability
Our services may depend on Shopify, payment providers, email, hosting, download, community, shipping, analytics, or other third-party services. Their services may be governed by separate terms. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free availability, but we will take reasonable steps to address problems within our control.
We may update, improve, replace, or discontinue features where reasonably necessary. We will not remove a paid customer’s material benefit without an appropriate remedy where required by law.
8. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability
Our educational and creative materials are provided for general instructional use. Results depend on the user’s skill, materials, equipment, and implementation. To the fullest extent permitted by law, services are provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties beyond those expressly stated or legally required.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, The Sashiko Mastery will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, punitive, or consequential loss, lost profits, lost data, or loss caused by matters outside our reasonable control. Our total liability arising from a particular product or transaction will not exceed the amount paid for that product or transaction during the twelve months before the claim.
These exclusions and limits do not apply where prohibited by law and do not exclude liability that cannot legally be limited, including applicable rights concerning defective goods, fraud, willful misconduct, personal injury, or mandatory consumer protections.
9. Complaints, Payment Disputes, and Fraud Prevention
Contact thesashikomastery@gmail.com or https://thesashikomastery.com/pages/contact with your order number and a clear description of the issue. We may request reasonable evidence and offer troubleshooting, replacement, reshipment, cancellation, store credit, or refund as appropriate.
Nothing prevents you from contacting a payment provider or regulator. However, duplicate recovery is not permitted. If a refund and chargeback concern the same transaction, we may provide relevant transaction, delivery, access, and communication records to the payment provider and take lawful steps to prevent fraud or abuse.
10. Suspension, Changes, and General Terms
We may suspend or terminate access for fraud, payment reversal, unlawful conduct, material breach, infringement, security threats, or misuse, after notice where appropriate. Sections concerning payment, intellectual property, acceptable use, liability, and disputes survive termination where necessary.
If one provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply. A failure to enforce a provision once is not a waiver. We may update these Terms for operational, legal, security, or service reasons. Material changes will apply prospectively, with notice or consent where required.
These Terms are governed by the law applicable to the business, without excluding mandatory rights or protections that apply in the customer’s location. Any dispute will be handled in a court or forum with lawful jurisdiction.
